MSI Community Employment Services

Beginning in 1988, Muskingum Starlight Industries (MSI) introduced our community employment program.  This program extends the opportunity for our employees to become a contributing member of your workforce, while allowing them to build self-esteem and confidence in their own ability.  Some of the support and training MSI provides that allow this to happen are:

Job Coaching- a job coach works with your new enrollee while he/she leans the skills necessary to maintain their job.  Job coaching also assists your new employee in developing the skills necessary to become independent in his/her job.

Support/Services- these services are designed to assist your enrollee with the support he/she may need to be successful in his/her new position.  Since each new enrollee will have different needs, support/services are tailored to the individual.

MSI Community Employment Service Belief statement

We believe the role of adult services is to:

  • Provide individualized, person-centered habilitation.

  • Respecting the individual's right to become an independent and responsible citizen in their community.

  • By creating opportunities, individuals will be able to realize their hopes and dreams; and

  • Through the involvement of the individual, their family and friends, that we can provide success in achieving goals while maintaining a high level of community participation.

Muskingum Starlight Industries does not discriminate in the provision of services or employment base on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, handicap, ancestry, or age.
